The Lists
Tracking emerging stories, trials and conferences
To keep track on the world of microbes, research and us, I have decided to create three lists: the conference list, the trials list and the hotlist. They are an aide memoire and designed to make microbes.me as transparent and inclusive as possible.
- The Conference List: Bringing together conference announcements and why they might be important.
- The Trials List: Trials are important as they inform us on how well treatments work. This is a list of important studies that are ongoing and might be important in the future.
- The HotList: Like a newslist, but different. Emerging stories that might be built into full articles. If you think you can help with any story idea on the list, get in contact.
If you think you can help with any items that are listed (i.e. because you know something about the content and can add value), feel free to directly contact me or drop a comment below.

Some Questions
What's microbes.me about?
Microbes... and us humans.More specifically...?
Bringing context and meaning to interesting discoveries made about microbes and how they might affect us. Even more specifically, it is about investigating the science of microbiology and explaining what it means and what we should think about with respect to the latest microbial discoveries..Who's behind microbes.me?
Max Bingham. I'm a science writer and this is my channel for going on and on about a topic I think is fascinating. I worked for 10 years as a research scientist studying gut microbes. I have a PhD in gut microbiology. All opinions are mine, except when they're from a guest, and any waffle is just a great idea working itself out.
